We know that now is the time; if not now then when. You are invited to join us for a unique weekend experience to bring you more fully and powerfully into the now. Our time together will allow us to meet ourselves in the landscape of our inner world bringing:
What is a *Sound Healing/Medicine?
Sound has the power to heal our wounds, expand our consciousness, and re-unite us with the divine harmonies and rhythms of the universe. The growing recognition of the power of sound in healing and therapy, which the Ancients have used for thousands of years, has given rise to the new field of Sound Healing/Medicine. With the use of voice and overtones, singing bowls and gong, we assist you to safely enter into a greater fluidity of perception in which both perceived time and space are altered. Here, other realms of being are more easily accessed. Due to its ability to alter perceived time and space Sound Healing can create radical shifts in perception that challenge both neurological and cultural conditioning, encouraging and activating distinct changes in brain processing and our physiology. Sound is also transformed into a carrier wave for intentionality. We use sound as a means of exploring consciousness and its inherent ability to create changes through the agency of conscious intention.
What is Insight Meditation?
Insight Meditation is a simple and direct practice; the moment to moment investigation of the mind/body process through calm, focused awareness which allows us to experience sensations, emotions, thoughts and consciousness with greater clarity and balance. This frees our mind from conditioned patterns of self-centeredness, negativity and confusion, and opens our heart to deeper wisdom and compassion. This process of opening compassionately to ourselves moves from the sitting period to the whole of our lives. Each moment is practice for our growth toward wholeness and harmony. The meditations derive from Buddhist traditions but no special religious beliefs are necessary to their practice.
“The moment I heard Amy play her crystal bowls it opened my heart and changed my life. The deep vibration and shimmering gong touched the core of my being and led me to places only one could image. It is magical, it is healing…Amy is an angel who lovingly guides you to your own divinity with grace a beauty.”
Roberta Maxwell, Ann Arbor, MI
“I have had the pleasure of participating in several retreats with Amy Lynn and Markus, and found each one to be very restful, calming, and a way to deepen my learning about my own life. The atmosphere is relaxed and safe emotionally, the surroundings are genuine and beautiful, and the people lovely. I would "retreat" into a new way of growing and connecting with these two again.”
Kristina Mays, Grand Junction, CO
“Amy and Markus Koch are kind, sensitive, well-informed, interested in others, and lots of fun to be with as they find humor in almost everything. I think it would be beneficial for anyone, young or older, to spend time with these lovely people and enjoy their guidance and teaching.” Emma Bragdon, Woodstock, VT
"I love receiving sound healing from Amy. She is uncompromising in her attention and listening - to my body, to Spirit - reaching places in me that have been so much in need and that have never ever been touched. She is masterful. Needy places in me are met. I recommend her so highly." Milagros Parades, Chelsea, MI
“We have been attending retreats with Markus and Amy for the past several years. We have found them to be compassionate and committed retreat leaders and excellent meditation teachers.
